If it can wait
Add it to a note for the next appointment. Include enough context that you remember why it mattered.
If it could change care or safety
Contact the service and ask how to pass an update to the clinician. If the information concerns immediate safety or an urgent deterioration, use an urgent route rather than waiting for a routine message to be read.
Make the next appointment easier
Keep one running list with “tell them”, “ask them” and “what changed” headings. The appointment-prep tool can create this without an account.
Write down the things you most want remembered. You can read from your notes, show them to the clinician, or use the free appointment-prep tool to put them in order.
